Conservation Services is a consultancy and conservation service. We specialise in archaeology and the decorative arts.
Working with curators, architects, developers, archaeologists and display designers we identify aims and agree objectives for projects. We work with other conservation specialists and build teams tailor-made to the needs of a project.
We have experience in assessing needs for improvement in collections care through surveys of collections, display and storage, environmental survey, pest and mould control, analysis and solutions. We advise on display conditions and materials and recommend or prepare for loans removal.
We undertake evaluation and draw up Conservation Management Plans for areas of large scale change.
We work with Museums to increase access and seek environmentally sustainable solutions in areas of change.
We have experience in training for Curators and volunteers in all aspects of conservation, and can adapt our presentations and practical sessions to the needs of the client.
